Been thinking about this for a long time.. I know using Trina is one possibility (or Tears of Karvadis for reverse items) to increase the success rate, but what about burning lots of items before upgrading the one you want to? I ve seen lots of people burning tons of wood staff+8 or even +6/+7 uniques just to use a trina and a bus for their main item. Why dont you simply do that without burning other items? In my eyes it can not increase your success rate (mathematically it is not possible). Or is it proven that burning other items before upgrading your main one really increases the success rate?
IMO it's a myth........I never burn when upgrading....just put it in and hope it goes......and yes I have upgraded a lot things and made a lot of things.....best one I made was a MS 21 and I never burnt things when upgrading there....but it's a matter of opinion.....if you feel that burn things will increase ur chances of success then go for it. Everyone upgrades differently ( things they burn, how much they burn etc....) hope this helps
Very different opinions about this, and I dont know either what to believe. But indeed, mathematically it is not possible.
Guess we wont ever know for sure whats the best method.
