Hello everybody, I made the other day a basic guide for the Warrior Class.
I was told that a priest guide would be good as well.
So I thought I should put few minutes into it.
I hope it will help to beginners and of course also current players.
so let's start,
*This guide is built for 70+ characters mainly
Skill Points
You can see bellow the builds that priests use nowadays for PK.
Debuffer/Healer/Master : (Recommended as a debuffer)
Holy Spirit - 80
Heal - 60
Master - 8
Buffer/Healer/Master : (Recommended as a buffer, but only if you know how to use your counter course exactly)
Aura - 80(counter curse)
Heal - 60
Master - 5
Holy Spirit - 3 (Malice)
Buffer/Healer/Master :( A bit more tanky )
Aura - 78
Heal - 60
Master - 10
Healer/Buffer (Recommended ONLY in mage parties & against mage parties) :
Heal - 75
Aura - 70
Master - 3
I personally like more the first two builds whether I play as a debuffer or a buffer.
Now let me explain a bit about your job as a debuffer or a buffer in PVP.
Debuffer
I guess you pretty much understand what you have to do by reading the name of that build?
Well, let me explain anyway ^^.
As a debuffer, you should be debuffing your enemies and I recommend to let your party members (meeles/mages) know who you're debuffing and what kind of debuf you use.. that way they'll know when to attack the target you're giving.
I recommend on using parasite and malice when you're giving your party members a target, also superior parasite and torment(AoE skill)
Debuffers also has skills that would make any meele that plays against you weaker(at least until they're getting cured)
Subside(AoE skill), Massive and confusion for warriors that uses passion build.
*All the debuffs are curable.
Also as a debuffer, in any of the builds I listed above whether you're playing as a debuffer or a buffer.. you'll have at least 60 at heal.
Debuffers should heal their party members as well, of course, focus more on debuffing than just healing.
Also, you have a skill named Cure Curse (level 25@heal), with this skill you're able to cure people of the same nation as you are..whether its party members or just some people that walk in-game.
How you're supposed to know when someone gets debuffed?
1 - If he's not in your party then you can't really know unless you notice the debuff animation on him once he gets debuffed.
2 - If he's in your party, his HP bar suppose to turn purple. For example the picture bellow:
*Personal Cure (cure curse) can't get failed
Buffer
Well since most of the players are scrolling up for PVP most of the time, all you have to do is simply making sure that all your party members stay alive and always cured.
At level 70, Aura you have a skill named "Bless of God".. this skill will cure all your nearby party members but in a small area.
I recommend on using a personal cure (level 25- @heal) if you're throwing a party cure and one of your party members don't get cured.
Of course you should be healing your party a lot, I recommend on focusing curing the most but once someone is cured and he's being attacked then you should throw a heal.
Stat Points
It depends on the armors you're going to use, most of the priests uses Krowaz as armor.
Krowaz set +7/1reb requires 106 STR and 188 INT
Krowaz set +8/5reb requires 108 STR and 190 INT
Once you have enough stat points for the set you're going to wear, all you have to do is put the rest of your stat points in HP.
Weapon/Armor/Accesories
It really depends on which server you're playing in, nowadays in the oldest servers you'll have to get a decent hammer (Lycaon/Lobo/holy animor) +7/1reb 8/5reb and a gab adamant +8/5reb.
In the newest servers a gab's adamant +7 would be more than enough for PVP.. a hammer +7 would be great as well if you could get hold of these.
About accessories it depends on in which server you're playing, therefore. I can't really answer on this.
You should ask players in your server and see what they say.
I'm personally playing in Anatolia and I recommend for Legionnaire bands, Glass Belt, Iron necklace, Dual Secret Silver Earring.
But again, it depends on in which server you're playing in.
Armors, krowaz set 7/8.. depends on your budget.
Well, that's all pretty much. If there's something important that I forgot to mention please feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to answer.
Have fun!
