according to the list of official knights online esn resellers they all sell gold and "illegal ingame items" (+11 and +21 rebirth uniques weapons and armor as well as gold bars) all available...

i can agree to the 90% thing because many of the "legit" players have given up on this game and moved on

when this game started peak times were between 5pm pst and 2am
now its about 2 am to 8 am...

honestly i would recommend
1) Do not instal KO
2) if you did then dont spend money on gear because as soon as you get enough gear your accoun will get hacked
