    Antivirus claim KnightOnline.exe has virus?

    Hi,

Few days ago, I saw some that has same nick as me,
my nick IntruderXIII and he named himself as (small letter of "L") lntruderXIII and pm people especially my clanmates,
I don't see this as a problem to be honest,
however 2hours back, my antivirus suddenly prompted me a notification saying it found a virus on KnightOnline.exe

May I know what is going on?

    https://youtu.be/T5RsQiHvqDw

can anyone tell me what is going on?
I am unable to install knightonline now because the antivirus keep prompting me that message.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello,

You can download the game via this link without any problem; http://www.nttgame.com/knight/en/download/client/ .

Sometimes, virus programs are detecting .exe files as virus or malware. I've downloaded the Knight Online via this link, scanned with both Avast and Webroot and there was nothing wrong. As a temporary precaution you may wish to add Knight Online folder to exception list to your Antivirus.

I have done what you said, just that after i launched it, it detected virus while upgrading the patches.

    i uninstalled,
redownload client from nttgame website, and scan, no virus.
i installed it(game version is 2163) and scan again, no virus.
launch the launcher and upgrade for 2164,
boom bitdefender picked up virus on 2164 patch and quarantine ko app

Disable antivirus while you download and install game. After patch end, add game folder as exception to your antivirus and firewall. It happened to me and that's what I did

I use an anti-virus called ClamWin......I used to use AVG and Avast until every week after a regular maintenance I was receiving non stop threats to potienal viruses.....I have now switched to ClamWin and has never had any problem with it since it was installed 8 years ago.

Like I mentioned before, the installation file was all fine until the patch update for #2164 then the antivirus started to alert me.
BitDefender2017 and 2018 happening the same thing on different PC.
    something dodgy is happening.
